Amazed at how many of y'all file by first name. Someone even claimed it would be anal to do otherwise. Try telling that to 99% of record shop owners, and watch your bulk purchase discount disappear down the pan.

I'd say it's fairly dumb to file by first name, but then maybe some folks here didn't finish school?

I hate that Discogs files by first name.

So are you suggesting I am incorrect filing Mr. Tull inbetween my Jam and Kraftwork records?

    The Left Banke

I almost skipped The Leaves and said Timothy Leary but that would be cheating.

They are at the top row, upper left, in my largest Boltz rack. Followed by a series of tall box sets/DVDs. The rest of the CDs start alphabetically in the row below. It is important to let everyone know who's #1.

They do so I do too. The yardstick by which all others are measured. It makes perfect sense to me.

    In this order.

I'd say Jonny Lang is in surprisingly good company.

Not me, but some people file by "The".

I keep the all the forum sacred artists together so it is Lennon on the right and Kinks on the left. :pineapple:

    Perhaps....

However, I was taught in grammar school that the plural of “Vinyl” is NOT “Vinyls”.

I suppose some people will call me out for filing under "Le" but that's how I do it.

I have never heard of 'Le Butcherettes', and if that really is their name then it's not your fault, but one would expect it to be Les Butcherettes...in which case, someone else would precede the mighty Zeppelin.

Please explain your reasoning for filing Ledernacken after Led Zeppelin.
