Who is happy with just 'bookshelf' loudspeakers?

It's not a matter of "chest-thumping bass". that is more toward mid-bass. Real bass is hearing those fundamentals down around 40 Hz or lower. It's a kind of growly sound instead of that annoying harmonic mid-bass.

I recently heard my friend's system. His speakers are the Sonus Faber Guarneri Evolution. I could certainly live with that forever. That's cream of the crop stuff and it sounds like it too.
