Todd: I'm not sure. I got really, really confused (which is easy for me) after about 60 posts or so. Like somebody posted, what was the question?

Is this thread going to go on like the "Please ignore" thread?

(Yes, one more for the thread! I couldn't resist...)

Had lost a bid for the S/T "Blood Sweat and Tears" on UDI/Mofi...to make up for it, I luckily saw DCC's "Hotel California" on eBay via the "Buy it Now" feature an hour ago. I bought it. (Big surprise.) $32: NM+/slipcase. Call me a happy camper...

It's one of my favorite records and still one of the best sounding DCC remasters... I love it!!!

Yes this is a great sounding transfer (I have both the CD & LP) BUT even in the seventies I really disliked the Eagles. 25 year laters both the Ramones & Televison sound fresh (along with Patti Smith). I always though the Eagles were boring. Maybe as a New Yorker who hung out at both Max's & CGGB's I just couldn't get into that layed back LA cool.

There is a slight possibility. Just tell me you don't have 300 sealed Pez dispensers or anything kooky like that!:D

You don't want to sell one of your sealed Eagles - Greatest Hits DCC, to a guy like me in Kent by any chance?

Got mine on E bay 2 weeks ago for $28 with shipping..... excellent.
Part of the reason I think it went so cheap was it was listed as Greatest Hits but the listing read and showed Hotel California. I'm a happy camper!

Both are great. Steve if I recall correctly had to bake the tapes and also track down the correct speakers to monitor them on.

Buy it-it sounds like a warm blanket of pillowy guitars and vocals. It just has that Criteria Studios sound-warm and rich :)
