Why you SHOULDN'T get the Fluance RT80 - My review

    My thought is there is not a Fluance model that is really an upgrade to anything, or is any other turntable in this price range. If somebody has no turntable and needs to get a turntable for $500 new, I say go with the RT-85. But it’s not going to be worth a $500 expenditure for someone who already has something of similar quality, such as your Teac, IMO. I can’t see any purpose to lateral moves within this low price range, because that’s money not being put into something that will be appreciably better.

    I’d take the newer Fluance models over a cheap Rega simply because they are at least servo controlled for speed stability.
