On the very slim chance that that's what this is and it's currently got an inaccurate description, to be fixed, then I've pre-ordered it just in case! Easy enough to cancel....

 

How quickly after release date does Amazon UK usually delivers a package to a London address?

 

Pre-orders have always arrived on release date for me.

 

You should get an option to specify the delivery date at the time of ordering. You have a much better chance of getting your delivery in time before you fly back if you buy through Amazon compared to the official store.

Thanks. Hopefully the bundle box will be available on Amazon UK, then. I'm assuming that if it becomes available on another Amazon (Germany, France, etc) it would take longer for delivery in comparison with Paul's official EU/UK store?

My understanding, based on what the "Superdeluxedition" site wrote, is that "the massive Paul McCartney and Wings: 1971-1973 (...) will only be available direct-to-consumer via Paul’s sites and some associated channels (i.e. they won’t be on Amazon)

The price went up already on Amazon.com

 

Red Rose: From $130 to $200.
Wild Life: From $100 to $150.

And even the 2-CD sets went up from $15.99 to $19.98.

Wow!! Had these sat in my basket for the last couple of hours, luckily when I pulled the lever it kept them at the original price.

 

325 quid? Hardly a bargain even if it is the big one!

 

Once again this is the perfect reason to always pre order ASAP at Amazon. You can always cancel later.

I ordered the vinyl there earlier and the big set at Macca.

 

People, Amazon prices fluctuate wildly up to the release date (and after for that matter). It's not as if it's impossible the price will come back down to some degree. They will honor any price drops up to the release date.

There's obviously no guarantee that the prices will come back down to those lower prices. But they might. Or they might go lower. Or more likely, we'll see them drop under the 200/150 level they're at now, but maybe not as low as $100.

 

Does the "official" Paul McCartney shop charge for pre-orders right away, or do they charge at the time they ship out? Also, does anyone know if the site makes it easy to cancel pre-orders prior to shipping? The shop seems to have no FAQ or "Help" section I can easily find.

I’ve emailed Udiscover in the UK asking them when the super deluxe might make an appearance, but doubt I’ll get a reply for a few days, by which time the boxset will probabaly have already appeared!
