My wife had a Jetta, it was a great car.
The GLI is basically a GTI with a trunk.
    Really fun car.

It's all about some fun and going with the flow.
I thank the mods for giving us wiggle room.
I hope I never tell anyone what to post,!if I do, smack me down. Lol

Having said that...still not saying what I got.
Pretty excited though. I think they are a perfect match, SQ, my taste, my music, etc.
Looked outside my box, consulted a few forum members, and here we are. :D

    A more balanced objective/subjective approach.

My youngest daughter has been driving a GTI for a little more than a year. She loves it. Prior to the GTI she was driving a BMW 328xi wagon which was the car of her dreams. She decided to trade it in before it reached 250k miles and traded it for a Mazda 3. She was t-boned the second day of ownership. Amazing how safe cars are these days as the car was totaled, but she didn't have a scratch. The insurance money bought her a GTI.

Although she misses the BMW, she doesn't miss the gas station stops.

    Good news, she walked away.

The safety engineering advances are crazy.
Some cars have sensors detecting side impact and tilt the seat away from the impact!

Good news indeed. I guess it wasn't a t-bone, but it was totaled for sure.

No damage to windshield. Good sign.

A friend of ours was going 60 mph and a guy fell asleep, drifters and hit her head on. He was in an old big t-bird, she in a large olds. The firewall was pushed up UNDER the front seat. I saw the car at the impound with her hubby, made me sick.

She was driving home late on a less traveled road. By sheer chance a ambulance with paramedics was right behind her after transporting someone from out town to the city.

They were on the science in a minute.
    Put the fire out
    Called a helo
    Stabilized her

She was at one of the best trauma centers in the country (world?) within 30 minutes. The life flight was stationed 5 miles away!
Saved her life and her legs.

Her doc told her we can fix anything but the head and spine, and even the spine sometimes.

    Only a small limp now.
The other guy died, no air bag. Steering wheel column did the deed.

We have a VW GSW TDI. Awesome vehicle. Superb fuel mileage and good for 700 miles at a time. We covered 5500 miles on our trip last month.

    20 questions time. :uhhuh:

    I'll start with 2 and a comment.

    1. Will they fit into your AMG?

    2. Are you thinking outside the box?

My gut feeling says you will try to do away with your sub.

before I answer, let me clarify:
No felony, lose my job and PE
A misdemeanor I can work with
    :)

    1) yes, one in trunk, one on rear seat. Perhaps both in trunk, it's large with a big opening.

    2) My neighbor is a UPS driver. He's on a route now, may call him. But honestly, anticipation is part of the fun. ;)

I will try with the sub, it may not be needed, but from what I've read in my location bass may roll off 40-50 Hz (3' from rear wall). So sub dialed down may be nice, impact.
Or I may get another. Lol
