I'm really upset I forgot to DVR the first episode, but I've got it now and watched the 2nd. I love this show. I remember watching it every day when I got home from school (it was in syndication then).

I work in an open office, and the other day I told someone I was going to put some Les Nessman tape around my desk and make people knock. She had no idea what I was talking about .

A very salacious line was cut from the Scum interview. It's included on Hulu which also looks way worse than the MeTv.

If they are censoring the episodes for delicate twenty-first century sensibilities, I wonder how they will handle it when Johnny Fever's reflexes get better as he drinks more.

Well, they skipped episode 3, "Les on a Ledge", where there is rumor going around that Les is gay.

Fun fact: The episode that was on tonight, "Hold Up", is the only one in the whole series with no Loni Anderson.

Turkeys Away episode is on right now.

They played Dogs by Pink Floyd so I guess they licensed that one.

This is another example of the Mary Ann/Ginger thing.

The studio puts in the alleged bombshell (Tina Louise on Island, Loni Anderson on WKRP), but it is the pretty "girl next door" (Mary Ann & Bailey) that draws my attention.

Tonight, ME TV ran that famed "a whole lot of turkeys get dropped on a shopping center " episode of "WKRP In Cincinnati ". I think I'd never seen it before.
Early on, there was a joke involving Johnny Fever playing a Pink Floyd song," Pigs " I think. I believe " WKRP " is a textbook example of a film where contracts for the music usages signed in the pre-home video era meant that unedited releases of the show with the original music 100% as the original were not commercially viable. I wonder whether the Floyd bit was on this ep. as home-vidded:confused:?

Really??!! I hope someone capped that one and puts it online. I'm surprised. The fake "Dogs" is a pretty good imitation of the real "Dogs" but I'd still rather have a high quality original. Strange though. Upthread someone said some music was replaced on earlier eps. They couldn't have been more expensive than licensing this track.

I guess it is possible it was the fake one and it fooled me. But it sure sounded like the original to me.

Could be. I had to compare the two before I was convinced!
