I would imagine people photographed or in the movie in such scenes might not be so receptive to being identified/interviewed.

I’ve never watched the whole movie (I mean, seriously, who has the time outside of Robert Neville?), but from what I have seen, there are some riveting performances. Richie Havens, Country Joe and the Fish, and Canned Heat stand out to me.

Ten Years After...they are on fire! great, great performance...
if you have the BD Woodstock box you should watch the entire 3 BDs...it's worth the time...no binge required. It can be taken in small doses...I watch it every year since I got it in 2014...

    Nope, I said I didn’t. You didn’t like the performances I mentioned?

I remember watching them perform “Coming Home”. That jogs my memory.

Santana’s “Soul Sacrifice” too. Hendrix doing the “Star Spangled Banner” (CAUTION! HOT MUSIC OPINION) which I have always hated and a terrible rendition of “Get By With a Little Help From My Friends” by Joe Cocker. I now recall those.

I know you were there as I was. I missed the final day though.
I am trying to talk myself into watching the movie this weekend. Kind of dumb I guess to not watch it. I wish I was still on the East Coast because I would be at the site this weekend.

    Yeah, probably, but maybe not.

What do you consider to be the festivals best performances?

I agree. There were quite a few I did not like. In fact some were down right terrible.

My sister-in-law showed me a photo of tickets for all three days of the original Woodstock festival. They belong to a woman for whom she's working as caretaker.
