Man, that's brilliant. The Stern show was never better than the few years that Billy West was with them.

If I was 30 years younger it would be tempting just to party, get to hear new bands and soak in the vibes.

But I think the Wanee Festival or Mountain Jam would be more my type of music and crowd.

I would like to see Miley Cyrus singing a Janis Joplin song. She does a fine Janis impression!

It is going to be a sad day for me. I really wish I could attend the 50th Anniversary. Man that was a great festival in 1969. One of the best times of my life. :(

Neither do I but I don't care. I don't need to be watching the performers the entire time, it is a social event. I can take that time to explore and rest while I wait for the artists I actually want to see.

I bet 95% of the people complaing about the lineup had zero intention of going in the first place. Either that, or they were foolishly expecting a lineup of only bands that Q 104.3 plays.

As for there being a lot of small acts, well duh. The promoters don't have all the money in the world to invite every dadrock and unclerock act in existence.

Cool that Canned Heat is gonna be there.
However when Miley Cyrus is getting top billing over Robert Plant something is seriously wrong.
    No thanks!

I agree I was there as well...1994 was extra special for me.
I don't want to attended the 50th... I can only imagine how much in my opinion that it will suck and be nothing like 69 & 94...1994 had a great vibe as many of the 69 attended were at the 94...and no cell phones LOL...

I was born in 68' & to me it is easily the most extraordinary decade of music making since even though I did not experience it in real time.

OK.. .but you just KNOW it would be worth the price of all three days if they had Miley sitting on a giant musical note swinging over the crowd singing "I'm GON' ride the music.. I'm GON' ride the music.. I'm GON' ride the music... I'm GON' ride the music.. I'm GON' ride the music" .. with Grace Slick in an old lady version of her '69 Woodstock getup shouting "RIDE ON" over and over from the stage!!!

I don't know... it's going to be a very different vibe nowadays... but it COULD be magic.. can you imagine Niki Minaj and Melanie leading the crowd in Lay Down(Candles in the Rain)! Of course the 5 minute rap break with Niki profanely upbraiding the men in the crowd for not giving her one of their big umbrellas to cover her *****ng head while she bustin' a m*****f**** freestyle up on this stage Woodstock STAAAAHL!!! could be a NEW highlight for our age!!!

To my eyes, seems a shrewd lineup. I too know nothing
of the "new" acts, my kid does play some Imagine Dragons,
but I'll bet one or two "new kids on the block" will walk
away stars. Doncha love success stories?
