I'd agree that "Broadway Danny Rose" is the film that has most risen in stature through repeated viewings for me. I don't recall being in love with "Another Woman" at first blush either, but at tenth blush I refuse to accept that condemnation - it's really a good film. I always thought "Love and Death" was funny when I was teenager, but reading and teaching existentialist Russian lit (like the guy over there on the left) made me appreciate it a great deal more. "Tiger Lily" might not be high art, but one joke makes me laugh every time, even when I know it's coming - "Mom!"
I watched „Zelig“ and „Love and Death“ once again and come to the conclusion that Woody Allen is a genius! I can‘t think of a filmmaker who wrote, directed and sometimes starred in so many incredible movies
I just watched „Stardust Memories“ for the first time! This movie is a true masterpiece and maybe his most underrated film. I especially appreciated that he wasn’t simply copying „8 1/2“. I really think that these two movies are different takes on a similar topic. And man, the final scene of „Stardust Memories“ is pure genius! I guess I have a new secret favourite from Woody Allen‘s repertoire
The clock is now ticking for "Coup De Chance" to appear! Woody Allen’s Latest Movie ‘Coup De Chance’ Is Heading To Market – Deadline
I‘m looking forward to this project because of two reasons: Firstly I‘m a massive Woody Allen fan. Secondly I‘m learning French as a foreign language.
I just watched „Broadway Danny Rose“ for the first time and man, this fantastic movie is intelligent, funny and sad at the same time.
