They count as much as Play It Again, Sam, which is a Woody film in all but the director credit.

And one of my favorites - perhaps my pick of the "early, funny" films. Even if Ross has the director credit...

Please report back when you have watched them. How does the grain look? Any DNR? Is the audio lossless? Is the audio original mono for Match Point and Scoop? (some release have fake-stereo mixes) Any forced subtitles?

I watched all three today. I’m not a technical reviewer, so I’ll just say that I’m happy with the image quality of all three features; I didn’t notice any major issues; detail appears excellent throughout. The audio is Dolby Digital 2.0 mono; not particularly impressive or punchy, but I’m not looking for cutting edge sound design in a Woody Allen picture; dialogue was clear and easy to follow. Some purchasers have complained about the Spanish soundtracks having an odd, fake-stereo effect, but I didn’t notice any issues with the English tracks. As mentioned in my initial post, there are no forced subtitles.

Overall, I’m very happy with the set.

I want lossless audio so I'll wait for something better for Match+Scoop and go for the Swedish Cassandra's Dream BD instead, which has PCM 2.0.

You certainly have options for all three, although some releases are OOP. The only editions I would avoid are the French ones, as they have forced subs.

It's great quality! Don't miss it.

Much better than the TT Husbands & Wives.

TBH I don't remember the H&W transfer being anything special.
Just waiting for it to go on sale.

There are some horrible crushed blacks in the TT blu-ray. I'm shocked they didn't issue replacements.

    How do they look?

Having been through all five films in the set, I’m more than happy with them. Typical latter-day Allen releases in the sense that they’re not going to win any awards for outstanding transfers, but there are no major issues, either. Buy with confidence.

So I bought these, thanks. Interesting to me that they had extras on them including several interviews with Woody. Been through them all and happy with the video and sound quality. As for the movies (most or all not seen since release time):

    Bullets over Broadway:
Close to classic Woody, very enjoyable 8/10

    Mighty Aphrodite:
Flawed but very funny, amazing perfomance from Mira Sorvino . The Greek chorus thing gets old fast 7/10

    Everyone Says I Love You:
Great stuff apart from ridiculous, cringing romance between Julia Roberts and Woody 7/10

    Celebrity:
He's trying to make a Fellini movie here, excellent cinematography, but nothing in it feels remotely true to life. Dreadful perfomance from "Lord" Branagh (who denies he is doing a Woody impersonation in the accompanying interview) 4/10

    Small Time Crooks:
Excellent comic perfomances from Tracy Ullman, Elaine May and (to a lesser extent) Woody. First half or so is memorable top drawer stuff, 2nd half not so much 6/10

Glad I got them! Now on to the Arrow box sets ...

Picked up four more titles whilst on holiday in Barcelona:

    Midnight in Paris
    Irrational Man
    To Rome with Love
    Wonder Wheel

I just need five more to have all the Woody-directed films currently available on BD.
