This happened years ago and has been covered ad nauseum in other threads.

But to answer your question, "yes", but only if I had just won the $500,000,000 mega-millions jackpot.

And to those on their high horses, would you pay $50,000 to have Paul McCartney play in your living room? How about with Ringo?

I personally would have no interest. I am a Kiss fan, and if the guys wanted to come over for a jam or a beer, that would be cool. I am certainly not going to pay them to do it.
If we were having a jam ... well I would want them to be interested, otherwise it's a waste of everyone's time.
I'm sure whoever paid for this liked the fact that they got to mess around a bit and have some fun with the guys, as to whether it was worth the money to them? Who knows?
I'd be a bit pissy about it myself, Ace looks ready to lay down for a nap

They'd probably pay 5 mil for Paul to use their toilet lol

"Oh, I'll never flush that toilet again " hahahha

Given things I've seen Gene Simmons say, I wouldn't want him anywhere near my house.

I don't know, it might be a great deal. After all, that's how much I paid to go see the Stones at a football stadium this year! (Not really, but it was a lot of money!).

This is really sad. I am not saying anything negative about Kiss, but this is one artist (saw him at a private seminar of sorts with the label) that could not be any more full of himself...I'd pay him $50,000 to just go away...

i caught myself blushing while watching that. the whole thing is embarrassing. even the spectators. that being said, it could have been good with a little more effort. seems like they could have dragged along a bongo player or something.

wonder what amp ace is using

6 or 7 years ago I went to a living room show by Rick Emmett from Triumph here in town , he played all of his hits from Triumph days on acoustic and told the stories behind the songs , he played for over 2 hrs . The evening included food and wine for 35$ a person capped at 35 people , it was very very cool . As a musician he is way above Simmons IMO . I wouldn't pay that same 35 bucks to see Simmons even on a rainy day ...sorry Kiss fans

Gene & Ace are no Paul & Ringo, but hell ya, I'd pay 50k for a couple of ex Bealtes if I could afford it.

    Gene & Ace? No Way!!!!

What an uninspiring audience, most sat on phones. I would be bored playing to that crowd!

On the other hand, having a three piece like Muse in your front room..

Pinnacle of cynicism would be if Simmons would comment: "if I had the choice, I'd taken the Corvette"...

I'd ask Gene if he could stay home and just send Ace to hang out with us instead.

I would pay $50 to show Gene Simmons the Nardwuar interview with Steve Albini where Albini admits that the "Gene Simmons talks to Nirvana" phone interview was fake, and then tell him to get off my property

I don't know who Rick is or who his band is but I'd much rather see him than Gene and it sounds like he put forth the effort to do a really good show for his audience, so he'd get my money over Gene any day. :righton:

You've never heard of Triumph? Or Rik Emmett? "Fight the Good Fight"? "Lay It On the Line"?
