That's my take when it comes to collectibles. Not that I don't have a bunch -- I do, but I ended up with them because of sound quality.

Still, it would be a cool thing to own.

Am I the only one who, whenever I see ridiculously expensive auctions like this, seriously wants to place a bid just for the hell of it because you're guaranteed to get outbid, but can't get past that sinking worry of "Oh crap, what the hell am I supposed to do if I don't get outbid?"

Yes. This one is really special because the vinyl condition is so exceptionally clean.


True that Die Beatles is more hifi, but as the needledrop demonstrates, this record makes for an entertaining listen.

A good first press record of this pedigree is really no different than having a first printing of an iconic book or literary work. Very cool.

 

I would be very hesitant to even play such a high price item. Also it's not just samples, it's the whole LP. He does that for all his listings.

 

Where do records like this come from? It's almost like Back to the Future. McFly or Biff goes back in time, snags a few choice Beatles platters and hits 2011 to make a big cash grab
