It's really laughable...especially sealed vinyl. Do these knuckleheads really want to sell anything??

  4. At least they keep the pricing simple, just make it an even $799.

What's worse is that it looks like a number of their items are resealed. The Blondie and Eagles DCC golds have the artwork in the slipcase window. I have quite a few sealed DCC golds and all of them show the disc in the window.

I guess it's buyer beware with sealed items.

Wow, little did I know my CD collection was worth millions...

I think selling these items would be a "Great Deal" -- for him!

  9. Cassettes for just under $60... hell, you could have half of them for free when I moved.

I bet in a previous life he was a sleezy used car salesman, rolling back the mileage on odometers

The cheapest DCC gold CD is $175.

Good catch on the reseals. :shake:

Did you ever wonder if this type of thing was a seller trying to keep the price of artificially high on some items, so that another listing looks "reasonable"?

I don't know what you guys are on about. These items are rare so of course they're worth a lot.

I have quite a few discs they are listing.
Maybe I will email them and see if they want to buy mine for half of their offered price so they can make a tidy profit.

If you look at his feedback, his turnover is not great. None of the high priced DCCs have ever sold.

Probably got stung on a refund or something and now won't/can't deal with them.

Yep. Somebody probably paid 800 for a CD that was resealed and had the gall to dispute the charge

Probably just fishing with the high prices and will sell to anyone crazy enough to bite. If they don't sell they remain in the collection.

I heard tell of a scam where one bookseller listed his inventory under at least three different storefronts on various used book sites.

The first storefront's listings were ridiculously overpriced, in order to make his other storefront's listings more attractive (that book MUST be rare, since someone has listed it for $ X). Went to great lengths to hide the fact that they all came from one place.

I think they eventually caught up with him - but I'm sure this happens on Amazon, Discogs, Musicstack and Gemm.

  25. It is ridiculous and he does sell maybe 10 or 15 items each month although probably never one of the $800 CDs.
