Wow! Wharfedale Diamond 10.2's arrived

Just unpacked and put on the stands. First impressions, wow! Nice highs, yet not metallic or fatiguing. Smooth midrange, punchy bass. Really nice looking cabinets. I got the Rosewood. Seem to be very well balanced.

Those are great speakers, especially for the price. You did well!

 

Yeah, I could have gone vintage, but I wanted a nice small monitors instead of big towers or large bookshelf speakers.

 

Just passed the Abraxas test. They don't have deep rumble bass, but the bass is nice and full. Highs are nice and detailed. Smooth is how I describe the his speaker.

Congrats. I run the Diamond 10.7 towers, couldn't be happier. Wharfedale's are great.

 

I haven't heard these but the Wharfedale 10.1's are superb. I always recommend them to friends just getting into vinyl (and i'm up to 2 converts already).

 

I had the 10.1's for years. Great speakers.

 

Never heard a Wharfedale I didn't like.

 

Keith Jarrett's piano really sounds good with these with the Pioneer SX-A9-J powering them.

 

I bet you'll like them even more after 100 hours or so, once broken in!

I was curious about these. Very informative review here, with pointers to quality control issues with the review set that an owner might want to be aware of. And suggested modifications.

Congrats! I can't see the pics either.
I've got 8.1's as fronts and II's as rears in my upstairs 5.1 system; all purchased used and all performing quite well.
