Well, here's hoping they're setting it up to where there will be a Sophie & Maisie 'reunion' !

    Well,

If the Fox universe should end after "The New Mutants", I would be fine anyway. We've been given such brilliant X-Men films in the last 20 years.
And I would be excited about an X-Men reboot anyway.
    I'm an X-Men fan!

  6. If Disney purchased that portion of Doz we will finally see them 8ntegrsted but well after the original Avengers have been retired. That’s the th8ng about the MCU—it is its own beast not behilden to the comics or cartoons. They have done a terrific job of creating a related narrative strand. Unfortunately, the XMen was made up to a degree as they went along. With the reboot from Simon Kinberg perhaps it will be a little more consistent. Glad to see they are redoing the Dark Phoenix saga because that was handled so poorly.

  7. Even if they did shoot it in 4K it matters how they finish the film including effects, etc. which typically have been done in2K because of the expense.

  8. X3 brilliant? Really? I found it awful. Started off fine but by the second act, it just was cringe worthy.

    I rank them as follows:
    X2
    Days of Future Past
    Logan
    The Wolverine
    First class
    Deadpool
    Deadpool 2
    X Men
    Apocalypse
    Origin
    The Last Stand

Looks like an epic but "grounded" superhero movie. I love it.

"Dark Phoenix" will be the swan song of the Fox incarnation. I think this will be the last chapter.

    Have you read my timelines?

  12. Yep. It does help make sense of something that was made up as it went along at least up until the fourth one.

I'll double dip watch on big screen, buy 3DBD. But, Oliva Munn/Psylocke was on Dark Phoenix set when they were filming, was her part cut out?

We don't know for sure. I doubt it. I don't see much room for Psylocke in "Dark Phoenix".

Great in Apocalypse very impressive with the whip I thought. Maybe she gathered a bit of bad press,or studio thought she was unworthy (troublemaker)after her The Predator actor expose(guess she had no choice ),but Shane Black’s got friends in high places, just saying.

    They are different worlds, truly.

Alexandra Shipp feels more Storm than Halle Berry IMHO.
James McAvoy and Fassbender are two terrific actors.
It's still to early to judge Tye as Cyclops, but I'm sure that he will overshadow James.
Famke is more beautiful and charming than Sophie... so I don't know.

The First Class cast was adult and looked adult.

DOFP featured adult X-Men either in the future and the 1973 year.

Apocalypse featured some 18 years old characters, which I hardly classify as "teens". Quicksilver was older, and maybe even Storm.

    Well, cool enough:

In the Rogue's Cut, two sisters for Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver are referenced. That's great! Bingo.
Indeed, in "X2" (Timeline Prime Alpha), there are two "Maximoff" persons listed on Stryker's files: Peter's sisters (mutant as well), who came into existence despite their brother had never been conceived - that will happen when the timeline is altered by Sebastian Shaw in various ways.
Thus, in Timeline Prime Alpha, the DOFP Quicksilver was never born; Erik/Magneto had a speedster son with an unspecified woman in the late sixties (maybe 1969) whom I named: "Peter Lehnsherr". He is the Quicksilver featured on "X-Men Origins" (set in 1983).
    Eureka!

  25. Especially Jean. I think the Game of thrones gal does a fine job but Famkee Jansen can’t be topped for being hot.
