JMCIII Music lover first, audiophile second.

I've had the opportunity to listen to only one so far - Tina Brooks "True Blue" and I have to say, it sounds wonderful. Easily besting every other digital version in my collection (and as a HUGE Tins Brooks fan I have a few). I can't wait to hear the other three.

I got these two - the best CD packages I have seen. Great sound to as well.

CD lovers instant classics and destined to be collectors items.

I played Soul Station a few times once for each of the 45rpm and RVG CD
Vinyl lovers will still prefer the relaxed quiet back drop the 45 rpms deliver. Tonally they though the MMs are very close.
I find that the RVG runs a tad faster than the MM XRCD24 and obviously has compression and a fold down image which RVG has used repeatedly on his re-issues -probably to recreate his old studio sonic picture as he remembers it?

If you love the Blue Notes and can afford these XRCDs - do not hesistate to get them.

If your love is vinyl then you know what to get at least for your favs-but buy one of each and make your own conclusion. The gap is getting tighter!
