That's what I've been waiting for!!! I have bought past releases on CD & Blu Ray, but no vinyl. I have to buy the Dukes as vinyl. How has their track record been with vinyl?

Immaculate. But the vinyl reissues are always the original mixes.

Awesome news - I wonder which song is an upmix - probably something that had a solo or sound effect "flown in" during mixing originally?

This wasn't on the top of my wishlist but I'll take it! :agree:

Yes, Andy mentioned on Twitter a while back that some Dukes tracks would be tricky to mix into 5.1.

Considering the British 60's psychedelic vibe of the albums, wouldn't a new mono mix make a lot more sense than a modern multichannel one?

No. Psychedelic music was asking for quad mixes already in the 60s!

Pre-ordered, of course, though I was hoping for Apple Venus.

I wish they would throw in an autographed card....

Coincidentally, I had 'All Of A Sudden' running through my head all morning. Now, because of this announcement, I have 'My Love Explodes' running through my head.

Clearly, I need to spend more time listening to bands that write less catchy songs.

XTC's old website used to sell CDs autographed by Andy and Colin. I didn't re-purchase every XTC album, but I bought a few, and the Dukes CD was autographed in character by Sir John Johns and The Red Curtain.

No, but you can always fold-down the 5.1 mix and do your own mono mix from the 6 individual tracks. ;)

It’s going to be a thorough Dukes of Stratosphere project. Pre-ordered through Burning Shed here.
