Going to see Yes perform this album, along with The Yes Album and Going For The One tonight at the BeaconTheater in NYC. Should be cool!

Maybe it is time to list the numbered slipcovers on EBay. I can live without them. :)

Question for Steve regarding the CTTE SACD master (sorry if this was asked already and I missed it): What master tape was used for this SACD? Particularly for "And You And I"? I ask because I noticed there is no audible edit on the left channel just before the bass comes in at the "da-da-da-da-da-da" part. Never heard a master that didn't have it until this one, so I thought I would ask. Thanks for your time sir.

Edit: Thanks for doing Going For The One Too!! Can you tame the treble on it a tad please? Also, if you are given the opportunity to do Tales From Topographic Oceans, please do it with the full into intact. Thanks again Steve. I know we are a needy buch aren't we?

Why not order it directly from Audio Fidelity? They sent me one without any delays.

You get slammed with import duties including VAT and handling fees in UK. Plus the normal shipping fees. So buying direct from the USA can add to the costs considerably.

The main reason is price. By the way, Amazon.com sent me this SACD without any delays.

^ Yes, brief mention early on (I think). But the question came up again later in this thread, and could not be responded to, per SH himself.

Look, for the last time (I hope), we cannot talk about mastering. We used the original British tape. We used the tape that all the other tapes ever used to master anything were made from. Please don't ask about technique, etc. Legally we can't talk about it.

    Exactly.

Sorry Steve. Never remember all the legality issues involved with magnetic tape, etc. I was just interested as I don't remember not hearing that edit. It's been a while since I've heard the German vinyl, however.

Or Sellotape. Which would then make this thread a sticky! ;)

Could someone help me please - I pre-ordered CTTE late last year because of this forum but I can't remember where I ordered it from! I thought it was AF but they don't have a record of it and I just don't have the time to go back through 70 pages on the topic.
    Thanks!

You're welcome. I hope my response wasn't too snarky. The search function on the new forum is pretty powerful, though!
