If you want a SB tape with Bruford on drums look for the Yale Bowl concert from July 24, 1971. It also has Tony Kaye on keyboards. Great sounding concert Only 4 songs as Yes was third on the on the bill opening for Grand Funk Railroad. Great story in one of the fans reviews on how the SB was recorded by a fan that night on a portable reel to reel plugged into the soundboard. 07/24/1971 New Haven, Connecticut Sent from my Galaxy Tab® S2

Does anyone know anything about the Tsongas coloured vinyl release? Yes - Songs From Tsongas (Yes 35th Anniversary Concert) I've seen it on ebay as an RSD release, but I cannot see it in the official list of releases for RSD. The only sellers I can find are on ebay and Discogs. Wondered if anyone could shed any light? I'm a sucker for coloured vinyl...
Good ol' black is fine for me, but I didn't know anything about an RSD release either. A guy who runs one of my local shops said he was supposed to get at least one last week, and didn't. Acoustic Sounds lists the (I assume) black version for only $30, and they say it's coming out Sept. 25.
Man, I own every flipping one except the Progeny box. I stupidly didn't buy it on release and the price has rocketed ever since.
Yes, it looks like they are around $500 new on eBay too. I went back to my Amazon purchase page and I paid $75 when it came out. Snatch these sets up when they are first released people!
Yeah, $75 was the original price, or close to it. A set sat at a local Barnes & Noble 'round here for years, until the holidays last year.
OK. Thanks. I picked it up as soon as it came out. Had no idea it would be so sought-after five years later.
I bought the Progeny single CD, but really didn’t like the hard panning of the instruments, so I sent it back. Wish I’d bought the box now so I could have sold it. I’ll stick with Yessongs, as the remaster is pretty decent and I love the original track listing.
Progeny-Highlights 2cd If you haven’t got the box get it.The band in this era was about a thousand times better than the later line ups.
New live Yes album coming 10/30/20 from 2019 tour. Here’s the set list... Tracklist 1. No Opportunity Necessary No Experience Needed 2. Tempus Fugit 3. Going For The One 4. All Good People 5. Siberian Khatru 6. Onward 7. America 8. Imagine 9. Roundabout 10. Starship Trooper it’s called The Royal Affair Tour: Live in Las Vegas
In no particular order: Yessongs Progeny Highlights Yesshows Keys to Ascension live bits Symphonic Live (DVD) Songs from Tsongas Live From Lyon Topographic Drama Yes featuring ARW My favourite bit of live Yes is the sequence on Symphonic Live of: Starship Trooper Magnification Any You And I Ritual It beats me why they still haven't released: 1. an expanded Yesshows, making up it to a 3-LP / 2-CD / 2-hour long release, maybe adding in another Relayer track, Awaken, and another one or two Tormato tracks 2. a full concert from 1978/79, eg Wembley.
It's getting a bit silly now - if it hasn't already - just how many live albums they are releasing. (Yes, yes, I know. I don't have to buy them!)
None have interested me since the Tsongas and Montreux releases (last tours with Jon and Chris together).
My list would largely resemble most others but I seem to have a major omission with Tsongas; haven’t heard (or seen) it. Is CD or blu-ray a better option? I have Montreux (blu) and presume the guys don’t look much different.
The CD set for Tongas is good with nice full dynamic range. I have the DVD set too and like the visuals, but can't recall much about the sound, only that it was at least "good". I was at the show they taped. and the AC unit in the arena failed and it was HOT. I had to keep the beer consumption going through the whole excellent show.
