Btw, they're mentioning Coldplay in the film/trailer. Problem is, without the Beatles there also wouldn't be Coldplay.
In the early years Chris and Jon were busking around London always playing Beatles songs.^^

Oh yeah they'd probably have no other songs to perform :shake:

If you (and only you) knew all the Beatles' songs but the Beatles never existed then you'd be the writer.

Paul McCartney tells the story of waking up one day with the tune for Yesterday in his head, and went around playing it to the others to see if they could tell him who'd written it. Nobody else had, so it's Paul's tune now.

I moved to Northern Thailand and lived this. My wife had never heard of the Beatles. I'sure there are still many places and cultures where the Beatles are unknown. It's a big sphere.

Hence that's why this film is called Yesterday. Overall pretty clever. Would like to watch that film.

  10. Its got good pedigree for a light romance film. SlumDog Millionaire and Love Actually.

    Looks fun.

There is an international trailer (and a similar trailer reshaped for Instagram and Facebook) that gives away a couple extra moments which maybe shouldn’t be seen in advance. If you’re the kind who deduces a lot from an image then you might want to stick with the US trailer as presented in post #1. (That said I was freeze framing many shots to learn as much about the story as I could, which is also not advisable!!!)

The plot: What if you woke up one day and The Beatles never existed, but you're the one person that still remembered all of their songs?

I will go watch this as the clip brought a smile to my face.

I may be wrong but on the clip were all the songs predominately Paul’s except for one from George?

The concept reminds me a tad bit of an excellent "Twilight Zone" episode called "And When the Sky Was Opened." What if things you knew existed stopped existing?

It would be funny if one of the plot points had him tracking down Patti Harrison and seeing what became of her with no George in the picture.

Anything involving Richard Curtis is somewhere on the scale of good to utterly brilliant. This looks like it'll be a proper laugh.
