Yoko Ono material on Plastic Ono Band box BluRay

I just made the plunge for the box set, Amazon has a special on the price for $105. Get it while the price is low.

 

I tried to like it, and the first track kicked it. But after 20-30 minutes Yoko’s wailing grew tiresome to me.

 

All I hear is love.

 

This could be because Yoko and Sean licensed Yoko's POB album to the Secretly Canadian for its reissue a couple years ago. Maybe there is language and clauses in that licensing deal that makes Secretly Canadian the only label that can release any material from Yoko's POB sessions (including unreleased outtakes) for a set period of time, perhaps 10 years or something. But due to a technicality, her POB session material can be released on blu-ray, even if CD and vinyl are not allowed, unless through Secretly Canadian.

Don't Worry Kyoko outtake was included on CD in the JL/POB set because it wasn't recorded during YO/POB sessions.
