  1. I don't know about this, but exploring the acoustic properties of your pad could be a great "first date" activity to do together! :righton:

Unless the date you’re bringing home is over 60 years old, most of the suggestions so far will be foreign to him or her - perhaps try something from this Millenium, now that we’re 20 years into it.

When I was in college (punk era) Green's Greatest Hits was the makeout LP of choice.

  14. First thing that comes to my mind is the entire Carl Douglas Kung Fu Fighting (And Other Great Love Songs) album. Of course that may be overkill for a first date, so I’d suggest starting off with the hit single ‘Disco Perfection Mix’ version.
    You’re welcome! :tiphat:

I have no clue what I'd put on, but I'll tell you this -- I had a woman over recently who wanted to hear some Styx, so I had put on The Grand Illusion. Right when things were heating up, "Come Sail Away" came on and, well, she made it clear that things were about to cool down really fast if I didn't take that off the turntable pronto.

I would definitely know I’d found the right one if this worked.

    That just might work!

For something else, I do feel very strongly that putting on Cannibal Corpse should wait until the woman knows the man better. So, not a first date!

Led Zeppelin makes total sense to me. But... King Crimson???

Sounds like you scored a great wife.
