    Will watch again with
    • Audio commentary featuring Reinert and Apollo 17 commander Eugene A. Cernan, the last man to set foot on the moon

  4. Beautiful package. Looking forward to diving into it.

I’d love to have big volumes from Truffaut, Kurosawa and Woody Allen just like this.

I can see Truffant or Kurosawa happening (there's been some rumors recently about Criterion being in negotiation to acquire a license for Ran, but it's just rumors right now). I don't see Woody Allen happening, though. As far as I know, Criterion doesn't have the rights to ANY of his films.

Just watched Philadelphia Story over the weekend, some really great extras on it, both about the playwriter, and Katharine Hepburn, plus the Dick Cavett episode with her is fun to watch. Looks amazing as well, and I appreciated the short on how they can fix things today like image stability.

    My final Criterion Blu-Ray from
    the Barnes & Nobel/Criterion
half price sale of 2018. I wanted
to get this when I was buying my
laserdiscs years ago but the store
I got them from sent them back &
    only carried DVD's until they
closed. I'm happy I got it now.

Yeah, but that was a long time ago, they don’t have the rights anymore and haven’t in a long time.

I would love to see a complete films of Krzysztof Kieślowski. Though the Decalogue still poses a problem being at wrong frame rate. I am thinkong his TV moviesmay be the same problem.

Still the Color trilogy, Blind Chance, and Double Life were a sight to behold. The sales of this set help these kind of monster box sets coming and I cannot be happier. TV series should not be the only media treated this way! Film is just far superior in every way....especially when speaking of the classics.

I got an email yesterday about a three day Criterion 50% off sale.
These are now officially my last two Criterion purchases of 2018.
"Forty Guns" & "On The Waterfront". I love old movies & I am so
appreciative of Criterion for putting out great titles like these two.

Three new titles added today: "Seconds", "Thief", "To Be Or Not To Be". I watched "Thief" tonight &
it was very good. If anyone under the age of 30 is seeing this or any postings about classic films, You
can do yourself a very big favor by watching the classics. There's such an amazing catalog available to
you that will amaze & entertain you. Jump right in & start inviting your friends in. Totally awesome!!!

    "Notorious" - Barnes & Noble
had this marked 30% off. I used
    a friend's membership discount
along with a 20% off coupon that
his wife brought up on her phone.
Glad to add this one to my library.

Boy B&N is almost faster than Amazon. I ordered Swing Time, Detour and Police Story and had them within two days. I don't order a lot from B&N but their semi annual Criterion sales are the bomb.

I ordered Silence Of the Lambs on Sunday and it is still "On Hold." Talk about slow shipping.

After we got the Criterion Channel, I was wondering if that was going to have an impact on my "50%" buying...

    I just got:
    "Death in Venice"
    "War and Peace"
    "The Magnificent Ambersons"
    "Limelight"
    "Don't Look Now"
    "Blue Velvet"
    "Night of the Living Dead"

...so far, it looks like I am still pigging out when B/N calls :)

Has anyone ordered from Barnes & Noble for the sale and waited awhile for an item to ship? I bought Silence of the Lambs. It showed as "In Stock" and I have been waiting for over a week for it to ship.
