"Exterminate all rational thought!" This is probably my favourite album of 1990 outright; William S. Burroughs' Dead City Radio, Island Records. Spoken word project produced by Hal Willner & Nelson Lyon featuring accompaniment for the author provided by Chris Stein, Donald Fagen, John Cale, Sonic Youth, Allen Ginsberg, the NBC Symphony Orchestra in archive recordings and others. It also ends with Burroughs' rendition of Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuß auf Liebe eingestellt (Falling In Love Again), which is startlingly effective.
