STP: Purple. I traded Superunknown for it, and never looked back. I played it incessantly.

    "Still Remains" is so good....

There were some others I could have been tempted to name too, albeit albums that I don't physically own. '94 to me is notable for 'Dummy' - one of my all-time favourite albums - in addition to 'Jar Of Flies', 'Angelfish' and 'Superunknown'.

Kristin Hersh - Hips and Makers
Tori Amos - Under the Pink
    Morrissey - Vauxhall & I
Pink Floyd - The Division Bell
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Let Love In
    Johnny Cash - American Recordings
    Portishead - Dummy
    R.E.M. - Monster
The Cranberries - No Need To Argue

I really struggle to believe all these albums came out in the same year. It was the year I finished college and made some big life changes, so the start of the year and the end of the year seem like two completely different eras to me. It's quite disorientated me!

Who, and where, I was when Crooked Rain came out is an entirely different place and person I found myself in when Monster came out. That's music and memories for you...

Looking at this thread replies remind me why the 90’s will be largely forgotten compared to the 80’s and 70’s. Only “classsic” is Nirvana, the rest just tried to figure out what was going on so you can’t blame them either.
