That's a nice list, a lot of overlap with mine. I didn't pick the Vanessa Daou record, but could've easily, that's a really nice one. I recall it just got a vinyl reissue not too long ago.

One of my faves from '95 was the first of Mick Harvey's albums offering an English interpretation of the music of Serge Gainsbourg:

    Chris Connor - Blue Moon

Can't find youtube uploads of the tracks I looked for, but here's a live version (with unfortunately less-than-ideal audio, but the band's smokin') of the lead-off track:

There's actually another version of this tune on Connor's New Again album from the 80s, but the version on Blue Moon is a different recording, so I linked to the live version instead of the New Again version.

Horrible album cover art, but great album:

    Blur - The Great Escape
    Oasis - Morning Glory
    Pulp - Different Class

These dominated the year in the UK (probably The Bends as well) and three of the quintessential Britpop albums. Oasis and Pulp's Glastonbury sets were legendary.

    I'd add
    Cast - All Change
    Elastica - S/T
Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill
Bruce Springsteen - The Ghost of Tom Joad
