Very late to this party and I haven't read the entire thread yet...

I was surprised when I just took a visual inventory how few of my SACDs are from AP. Of the ones I that I have, I really like the following:

    Patsy Cline - Greatest Hits
Muddy Waters - Folk Singer (probably my favorite overall)
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Axis: Bold As Love
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Machine Gun (Fillmore East 31-Dec-69 First Set)

I know not everyone loves the Patsy, but I do.

I should have added AP's "Time Out" from Dave Brubeck. I really like that one as well.

There are so many AP SACD titles that I like.

    Borodin: Symphony No. 2
    Falla: Three Cornered Hat, Ansermet
    Holst: Planets, Mehta
    Mahler: Symphony No. 3, Mehta
    Dave Brubeck: Time Out
    Duke Ellington: Blues in Orbit
    McCoy Tyner: Inception
Ella Fitzgerald: Like Someone in Love
    Patsy Cline: Greatest Hits
Nat King Cole: Love is the Thing
Miles Davis: Someday My Prince Will Come
    Sam Cooke: Nightbeat
Rene Leibowitz: The Power of the Orchestra
    Ray Brown Trio: Soular Energy

Has anyone ever replaced an AP SACD case? I just got a replacement case for one that arrived cracked and I'm not sure how to open the inlay tray side without breaking it. Tips?

There are four tiny holes along the top and bottom, one in each on the right corners, and inside the square notch beside the hinge.
I’ve got this tiny jewellers screwdriver (it was cheap) that fits in those holes so you can gently push the locking tab and release the tray.

Is Acoustic Sounds shipping in jiffy bags now?

I haven't bought any SACDs from them for years now.

Do you have to push the 4 holes all at once?

Acoustic Sounds do a great job with packing; it's just one of my cases is cracked (probably that way on their end).

No, just one on the top will loosen the corner, then do the other and that’s it

On a CD case that's pretty straight forward. On the SACD case the seams seem tighter or covered, so not sure where to pry it open.

Too many to mention all of them...
Pretty much anything by KG, SH. Disc-by-disc basis for other mastering engineers such as Ryan Smith. Have stayed away from Marino and others. One exception is Back to Back, though the original metal to the center cd is no slouch. For that reason, hanging on to the CD of Side by Side and not bothered upgrading.
I don't know if the following two have been mentioned, but they are both gems.
The Holly Cole Trio - Temptation (a demo disc if there ever was one) and Don't Smoke in Bed.
Want to have Holly sing for you in your audio room - those 2 are the ticket.

The original Temptation CD, I think was a Doug Sax mastering job and as such is darned good for what it is.
But the KG mastered SACD is in another realm sonically. A little bit of hot sizzle on the top end has been shelved down to be more natural, the mids have more presence and the lows more bloom. The end result is a far more realistic presentation.

Yep - it's getting to be painful waiting for these. I am also waiting for a repress of Headhunters.
I am almost tempted to get the SACD of Dolphy - At the five Spot. But I like the VDJ I already have for that and would rather spend the money on upgrading my OJCs of OB & FC. Argh! :)

I was looking forward to Outward Bound and Far Cry too, but they disappeared from Acoustic Sounds website some time ago. I assume they have been cancelled, along with a bunch of other Prestige Stereo and RCA Living Stereo SACDs.

Still a little bitter here about that apparent cancellation. :(
