This thread topic has been done here a LOT! Usually the threads use the words "guilty pleasure" in the title.
Here's just one (because I don't feel like listing them all):
    Guilty Pleasures(musical acts)

Their entire career is mostly great. Check out the latest album My Murdered Remains. If you like their style they are as brilliant as ever.

Moody Blues? I think they are hip but I don’t think anyone else does.

All the artists I like are hip.
It’s the artists people think are hip that aren’t.

Just saw a clip of ' The Association ' playing at The Monterey Festival way back when.
Not hip is putting it mildly. One of them was smoking a pipe. Made me think of Bing who was actually hip.

Thread gangsta. Previous posts left me struggling for an objective working definition of 'un-hip', however, like Justice Potter Stewart, I can now confidently say, 'I know it when I see it'.

After being about as unhip as you could get in the 70s, ABBA became cool to listen to in the 80s, similar to what happened to Burt Bacharach in the 90s.

Can't believe they banned this at Yankee Stadium. For a song that Paul Robeson also sang. Cancel culture is toxic.

My 10 CD collection of German volks music, but come Octoberfest time while tossing back a few Salvator's, and Warsteiner Dunkel's it all sounds good.

Bread was my first thought, but Glen Campbell is another good answer. I've always liked Glen, and caught a bunch of flak in school for it. I got lots of "Hi! I'm Glen Campbell" in that Gomer Pyle voice, but man, that guy could sing AND play guitar.

I also like Chet Atkins, Nat King Cole, Carpenters (love Karen's voice but dislike the ultra-white-bread arrangements) and ABBA.
