It's understandable that Heads instinctively nominate Garcia and Weir, but the while the latter crafted a distinctly unique rhythmic style, the Dead contained only two innovative guitarists of legendary status and their interplay is indispensably foundational. The Jordan and Wilt at the numbers 2 and 5 positions, as it were!

In keeping with the sports metaphor, I had posted the "Air Garcia" meme. In keeping with my better judgment, I deleted it. (I have no idea what this thing is)
