You don't have to post a big list all at once. Just add some favorite tunes/pieces whenever you think of them.

Since we have a lot of audiophiles on the board, feel free to recommend some of your favorite recordings of the music you list.

Wow, I really respect the dedication. I was impressed by your knowledge of 30s and 40s music but now you're really kicking it old school!

Imagine how cool + bizarre it would be if recorded music from the 1600s existed.

I like quite a lot of 17th-century music.
I also like a lot of 16th-century music, particularly pieces like this one,

    'Swete Was The Song' (anonymous)

I am especially fond of similar music written for Gittern, Celtic Harp, and Lute. I find fascinating some of the most beautiful instrumental pieces of great antiquity, wherewith authorship has been long forgotten down the centuries.

I thought I may have had something for this but alas, not.
It seems the 18th century is where my musical journey begins.

Albinoni's Adagio I thought just made it, but is more likely 18th century.
Bach I thought may have been in the mix, but was 15 at the turn of the 18th century...
So alas, I have nothing that I am aware of.

I would imagine I know some tunes from the era, but I have no knowledge of anything in particular.

You have to wait about 150 years before Mozart got to his unplugged phase. I think in 1649 he was still in the classical fusion period.

I'm all for Handel's Glastonbury. Guillotine Glastonbury sounds more to like a bunt instead of a grand slam.
