We've got a thread for movie villains, so here's one for TV villains. They can be recurring characters or one-episode appearances. I'll start...

    Gus Fring (Breaking Bad)
Angelus (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)...certain episodes.
    Colonel Klink (Hogan's Heroes)
    Newman! (Seinfeld)

He must have been the first regular allowed to consistently murder people and remain alive at the end of the episode

Klink wasn't exactly a villain, not in the way Major Hochstetter was

One we most assuredly cannot forget: J.R. Ewing (the great, late Larry Hagman, from O-R CBS Dallas from 1978-91, and the first two seasons' worth of TNT Dallas as well)

Don't forget Victor B's King Tut, Vincent P's Egghead, Otto P's Mr Freeze...the amount of great acting talent on this show was incredible.

Gus Fring is the easy first pick.

I wasn't a big watcher of Dallas (my parents were), but J.R. Ewing was a big one.

Even though he was the protagonist, Dexter Morgan was a true villain, and an awesome one.

    Newman wasn't a villain.
