Funny thing. The first time I ever heard of Wyatt Earp and the OK Corral was from that Star Trek rerun. Westerns really must have died out.

As a kid, and they were probably movie shorts edited for tv, I loved Hopalong Cassidy. Had a Hoppy Watch, Lunch Box, and Outfit.

As an adult, looking back on memorable characters, Maverick/James Garner.

Definitely. Loggia was great in "T.H.E. Cat" as well and due to numerous similarities, the character he portrayed on that show still reminds me a lot of Diabolik.

Really liked Pernell Roberts in Bonanza, none of my mates, at the time, noticed him I felt he stole every scene.

I was pretty young when it originally aired but I remember being nuts about the show. I had the Have Gun Will Travel holster set and pistols. Card case with cards. I still watch it if I come across it.

It's a long book so there is a lot more details and actual history in it framing the characters and story. The Series did a good job telling the story though.

He was very difficult and demanding to work with according to Bonanza series creator David Dortort. They bent over backwards to meet Pernell's demands, but nothing would satisfy him.
That said, he was the most intriguing character on the first six seasons (which I have on DVD -- the DVD's are fabulously produced BTW with the NBC peacock etc)....

This show led the 10AM rating on local Argentinian air TV , every morning ........... for decades ! They stopped broadcasting it last year. Helped that the actor retired and came to live in Buenos Aires till the very day of his demise.
