Ha ha. (I did, in fact, compile a top 100 list a number of years ago (inspired by a forum thread) and keep it handy…so I could post it all at once! But I won’t. And, by the way, it gets tweaked on occasion.)

I'd probably add the Badfinger album to my list. Ronson is an interesting choice.

It should be 101, otherwise, no way. Impossible.

I might attempt it later if I'm in the mood though.

That's not even my favorite Foghat album, but it's still way cool to see you cite it. Kudos.

I read "Top 100" as "Top 5". ;)Reading through my Top 100 would likely be tedious for you; I presume the same for the rest of the thread ...
    CD Singles Collection,
the Beatles. Not an "album", really, but fits on 2 CD-Rs if you've got the patience to assemble it thusly. In my opinion, the best 44-track representation of the Beatles' universal appeal and brilliance. My #1 "desert island" item.,aps,242&sr=8-2
    A Morning Raga/An Evening Raga,
Ravi Shankar. The first Ravi LP I bought for myself, back in the '60s. Represents my ever-increasing collection of North Indian classical music, that I adore. It may be the most-listened-to genre in my collection at the moment.,aps,241&sr=8-8
All Things Must Pass, George Harrison. My adoration for this album just continues to grow across the years; what a collection of songs, what a collection of musicians realizing George's vision.,aps,261&sr=8-2
Stealers Wheel, Stealers Wheel. Sadly remembered today as a "one hit wonder", these guys put out three wonderful albums of singer/songwriter pop. The self-titled debut, recorded at Apple Studio, is a wonderful, rustic ramble slightly reminiscent of Let It Be-period Fabs.,aps,277&sr=8-2
Time On Earth, Crowded House. Okay finally, something 21st Century! In my opinion, the best album of the last two decades; one I never tire of. Neil Finn is my favourite songwriter still creating, and this set never fails to move me.

Any list with Days of Future Passed at the top gets an up vote from me!

    A few I'd add:

Badfinger - Wish You Were Here
    Randy Newman - Sail Away
Randy Newman - Good Old Boys
Neil Young - Zuma (first Neil album)
    Van Morrison - Astral Weeks

When I made my favorites by year list, the 1970s killed me.

These are just in alphabetical order. I figure it is difficult enough coming up with 100 in the elite category so I’m not taking it any further. Also, I tacked on the list of albums that were on at one point but that were later cut.
