One thing people may not have noticed with the DVD of Roger Water's In The Flesh is that it includes a 20 bit PCM track!

Thus this has better resolution than a CD (and it has great dynamics as well).

Another great solo Pink Floyd DVD is Dave Gilmour's In Concert (2002) and this includes a 24 bit PCM track (and great dynamics).

Another concert I really enjoy which has amazing audio quality is the SD Blu Ray of Lou Reed's Live at Montreux from 2000.

This was only shot in standard resolution, but the BR is amazing because it has a lossless 5.1 mix with a great mix which further into the concert has Lou's guitar slightly forward. This band is incredibly tight.

Yea Alison Krauss and Union Station Live dvd is brilliant. They made Shania Twain sound pretty damn good too on one or her concert dvd's

Yes, forgot to add: Tom Petty & Heartbreakers Soundstage is a complete wealth of audiophile and videophile greatness. The band was absolutely as tight as a band can be and the BluRay looks like an 8k presentation. Sublime. Must have for music lovers.

Here's a taste, but you're not going to see how beautiful the video is from this clip, but the performance is out of this world.

Cool. i have never actually seen it. Love Petty, but whenever I looked at his dvd's it seemed like a bunch of stuff I was very unfamiliar with. I was much more familiar with his first four or five albums.
    I'll check it out. Cheers

King Crimson - The Noise - I enjoy all of their live videos, of course, but although it's shorter, this one is just magic from start to finish. (DVD)
Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense (BR)
Robyn Hitchcock & the Egyptians - Gotta Let This Hen Out - Some of the video effects are dated and distracting, but the performances are nothing less than incendiary. (DVD, sadly out of print now)
The Band - The Last Waltz (BR)
Van Morrison - It's Too Late To Stop Now (DVD)
The Rolling Stones - Ladies & Gentlemen. . . (BR)
    Brian Wilson Performs Smile (DVD)
    Can - Free Concert (DVD)
Magma - Mythes & Legends series (DVD)
Zappa - The Roxy film (DVD) - As great as this one is, it is missing a few key tracks, most notably "Dupree's Paradise"

There's a 5.1 DVD there, but no video, afaik. There are some other filmed performances from the Gabriel era like Shepperton.
