Another possible list (in no particular order):

    Duchess
    Ripples
    One for the Vine
    Land of Confusion
Home by the Sea/Second Home by the Sea

This time around I opted out of choosing anything from The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway as it would be too difficult for me right now. Of course, a person could make so many different lists and still not be fully satisfied hence why I posted this second list. ;)

    My original list:

    The Lamia
    The Cinema Show
    Eleventh Earl of Mar
    One for the Vine
    Blood On The Rooftops

As others have said previously, this is ridiculously hard. Tonight I'll go for:

Supper's Ready - the Gabriel group's finest moment. They take us on a compelling journey, with the highlight being Apocalypse in 9/8. It would be perfect if the guitar solo at the end was allowed to continue for a bit longer.

Dance on a Volcano - insanely good and full of exciting time signature changes. This is probably my favourite Genesis song and provides a stunning opening to my favourite Genesis album. The four-man group demonstrate resoundingly that they can produce true greatness without Peter!

In That Quiet Earth - love the sound and driving melody here. This is my favourite track on my second favourite Genesis album. I'd love to have instrumental versions of the 70s albums.

Duchess - The transition from Behind The Lines is simple but brilliant and it's followed by one of Phil's most passionate vocal deliveries. The three-man group prove that there's life after Steve!

Home By The Sea/Second Home By the Sea - an evocative first half followed by some barnstorming instrumental playing in the second, which proves that they could still achieve within an 80s soundscape and setting.

Definitely, those early songs benefited from their expensive education and study of Greek Myths.
