I liked that one better under its original title: "ET the Extra-Terrestrial"... :hide:

  4. Sorry but I still think E.T. Is a manipulative mediocre Spielberg film that has all of the worst sentimental tripe of his weakest material. To be fair, Starman was written at the same time but produced much later floating around Hollywood for years because of that reason.

E.T. Is a film made for kids. Starman is a film with the same theme but made for adults and better too.

I struggle to put "Halloween" as a favorite, but it was a trendsetter. The Thing is fantastic, but I think most of his other films are mediocre to lousy. In the Mouth of Madness held promise but ultimately disappointed. The "Escape" movies are just okay. Christine was a decent adaptation. Couldn't finish The Fog, Big Trouble in Little China is one of the worst films ever made, and They Live is close in stupidity.
