This is what I’ve got after thinking about it for awhile

Some of these started in the late 90s but ran into the 2000s

1 - Buffy the vampire Slayer
    2 - South Park
    3 - Breaking Bad
    4 - Rick and Morty
    5 - Angel
    6 - Trailer Park Boys
    7 - The Walking Dead
    8 - Last Man Standing
    9 - Stranger Things
    10 - Parks and Recreation

I feel like I’ve left out something, I’ll edit the list if I remember anything

There’s also quite a few highly regarded shows I’ve yet to as well such as The Wire, Sopranos, Lost, Dexter, The Office, It’s Also Sunny in Philadelphia, and others that might potentially make the list once I get around to seeing them

IMDb give Stranger Things a solid 8/8 rating.
One of these days I’ll watch it if there’s a Region 2 dvd.

Chris C Music was my first love and it will be my last!

My days of devoting my time to a new TV series are mostly behind me, as I usually get hooked about the same time that network cancels it!

Here are a few that mostly satisfied

    Breaking Bad
    Big Bang Theory

and a few that I attempted and enjoyed for a short while and then realized, the more that I watched the more that I realized that these shows are a bit "over the top" for a mild manner viewer like me

Shameless (They should hand drugs out to those who stick with this insane show, which could've been great, had they not have pushed EVERY major issue button to the max)

ED (The short-lived NBC show with the Foo Fighters theme and was produced by David Letterman's production company. The show started off fairly simple and unique, with the lovely Julie Bowen and fun-loving Tom Cavenagh, but then that horrible actor who later was the side kick on "Mad Men" (and the reason why I NEVER even attempted that series), who showed up on ED as the new principal and ruined the whole vibe of the show)

Better Call Saul (Yeah I know, I know ..., it's great, right? My best friend swears by it, but the five or so times that I attempted it, I just can't get into it. I mean the guy who plays Saul is a damn fine actor (plus he is the person who wrote the still hilarious Chris Farley "I live down by the river" bit) and naturally the show has some fine writing, but I guess that I was expecting this show to be just slightly prequel to "Breaking Bad" over what I was watching which had NOTHING to do with "Breaking Bad".)

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (Here's another one that started off a bit crazy and funny, but has since proven that it has to go to dark places just to get a laugh)

    and finally

Broad City from Comedy Central, which I have to blame on watching thanks to the crazy and often hilarious promo clips that I would see endlessly while watching other shows. The actual show in the end was way over the top for me, again thanks to the endless attempt by producers of nearly all of these new shows that over do it, just to prove that they can try to win all viewers.

I'll tell you what I would enjoy seeing from a new network TV show. How about something with a lot of comedy (that's not "laugh-out loud funny" by name, but actually FUNNY FUNNY), like The Andy Griffith Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show or Seinfeld used to be. Something with a little sex but not graphic and something that has likable characters, but not one that has a cast made up of all races and sexual preference, just to prove it's hip and welcoming to all viewers, because that doesn't really work. Can you imagine what the cast of "Friends" would be like, if it were re-cast new in 2019?

One last thought, but a friend was over yesterday and he said "Chris, do you know why everyone was always so happy in Mayberry on "The Andy Griffith Show" ..., it's because nobody on that show was married except Otis and he was the town drunk"!

The first two seasons were slow, compared with BB. When other BB characters start appearing it gets better.

I probably should give Better Call Saul another chance. One of the earlier episodes that I watched had some weird Rupert Holmes reference (something about Rupert going to school with Saul or something strange like that) and while I found it funny that the character was referencing Rupert Holmes, whom I've been a long time fan of, but it was that kind of wacky sh#$ that also turned me off to the show. As the Breaking Bad characters start showing up and the plot heads more towards that show, then I will be interested, but they were taking far too long to get to that on the episodes that I have seen.

    Looks like we're including sitcoms?

    Breaking Bad
    Curb Your Enthusiam
    Game of Thrones
    Last Kingdom
    League of Gentlemen
    After Life
    Black Mirror
    Toast of London
    The Office (UK)

I haven't had netflix for long, I've got a lot of caching up to do. I also missed out on a lot great TV series (Mad Men, Deadwood, Wire, Stranger Things etc) due to apathy.

I fancied watching that but had no access to whatever channel it was on. I thought Norsemen was going to be a similar thing, but I was in for a pleasant surprise.
