A nice cover of my favourite Smak song, already mentioned Plava pesma ("Blue Song") (Crna Dama LP, 1977), performed live at an open-air concert this year, by young band Osvajači and Belgrade Symphonic Orchestra.

 

A psychedelic / ambient rock album by Djordje "George" Ilijin (ex-Tako) re-released on Bandcamp; orginally released as a LP in 1983, on Belgrade's major label PGP RTB. And indeed, there was some enthusiasm for Ambient in continental Europe in the early 80s.

Begnagrad were an exciting Experimenal rock band from former Yugoslav republic of Slovenia. They released s/t LP in 1983.

Folk-rock with strong *progressive* leanings, retrospectively called "prog folk" аs a subgenre of the 70s folk-rock as well, also was played in former Yugoslavia.
