Got Zappa Absolutely Free 2017 2 lp reissue spinning now while I look at photos of Frank to add to this thread.

 

I'd love to get a hold of this performance in it's entirety on video. Newport Jazz Festival, 1969.

As a casual Zappa fan who is not familiar with this lineup, can you recommend any particular recordings I should check out to hear this lineup?

 

Nice! That set is very well done. I love it. The laser etching is neat, but I would have preferred another side of music! Hey @Psychedelic Good Trip have you picked up the Lumpy Gravy Primordial yet?

I really can't tell. I know Miss Christine (the one portraid on the Hot Rats cover) died pretty young in the early 70's due to an overdose, and that the always angelic-looking Pamela is still alive, but I ignore the whereabouts of the rest (I think Lucy has passed away too).
If I weren't so lazy, I could use Google right now and find out, of course.

Well, since we were going on about Lady Bianca earlier in this thread I'm gonna post this in here too (just posted in the hologram thread, lol). Seems Lady Bianca will be guesting at some shows on this upcoming tour..... this video/trailer was just released . . . (I know a lot of folks hate the idea of this tour, let's keep this thread positive if we can! There is the hologram thread going if you wanna vent). Anyhow, I was very surprised to see her name. Pretty cool.
