ZOOM (1975) Intro

ZOOM: The Best of the 70's Part 5

I've been fascinated by this intro to the original 1972-78 version of ZOOM.

Can anyone please tell me if the sound of Cate's fake instrument is real, or if it was just overdubbed? I want to think now it is overdubbed because a similar squeaky sound is heard when Andrae does her signature move (with no instrument in hand!). Ditto for Tishy and her many bicycle horns!

I used to love watching the later revival version of this show.

I had forgotten all about that show. I even wrote a fan letter to them, though I have no idea what it said. So many funky good kid's shows in the 70s.

Ah i like the original Paul...... Not as dumbed down,just seems better.....

 

I would have watched the original version of the show for sure.... if I had been born yet.

 

"Zoom zoom zooma zoom..." Jeez I must have sung that hundreds of times in the early to mid 70s as a kid! Yeah all those PBS kids shows were really cool back then.

 

My favorite season. I can still do Bernadette's arm twirl.
