1 IFPI (Master Sid Code) no Mould Sid Code

Have a few discs that only have a Master Sid Code, have read that usually there is at least 2 (master and mould).
So, what does this mean seeing discs with only a Master Sid Code?

 

Can you post an example?

Many newer release I have, mainly from smaller bands have no matrix info, manufacturer etc. but do contain IFPI
IFPI codes are mandatory for pressings after 1992, even though I do have a couple without from that year, not sure which month it was realized

 

Yes, I believe its mandatory after 1994, but some small time bands have CDR copies with no matrix or IFPI's, but some do have these codes for CDR copies. Anyways, this disc is of a more known group and was purchased at a reputable store,
so does having just a Master Sid Code hint to first press or is there a reason it only needed 1. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

What's the disc your trying to verify and what's the complete matrix?

It seems it was introduced in 1994. I would guess that full implementation on all pressing plants took a couple of years, so there are many CDs from that period that have only one SID code. Not sure why this would be for a new release.

Andreas beat me to the link, some good info but not a sure fire way of identifying first pressings on later release issues
Especially for that Enslaved-In Times disc where only one issue was released, the SID IFPI should tell you place/sale of the album

 

Not sure what you mean by later release issues because this is the only release there is and I bought it practically when it first came out.

 

So what's your question? I guess i'm not getting what your trying to figure out, end goal

 

All I am asking is if there is only a Master Sid Code is that common?
There is no significance in there being no mould code at all?

 

I believe the answer is only one IFPI means one pressing plant did the mastering
and replicating, so only one IFPI needed.
