Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U" single? Hasn't been much to choose from yet.

Appetite for Destruction super deluxe. Or (rumored for now but if we get it) Pink Floyd's Animals in 5.1/possible deluxe edition!

    1. No One Cares About You Creative Hub...: Half Man Half Biscuit (one of their best albums, containing 3 of the best songs ever written by anyone in Terminus, Harsh Times In Umberstone Covert and Emergency Locksmith. In a fair and decent world, it’d be multiple platinum already)

    2. Albums Collection Vol 2: Bruce Springsteen.

    3. Next David Bowie box set.

Thanks. I do read that thread but ought to post more in it.

    My own answers:

Very few have wowed me. Has it been a good half year for music? Just ordered the new Innocence Mission album and expect that it will be a favourite.
    2. Favourite archival release of 2018 so far?
Neil Young’s Roxy. (Runners up: Holger Czukay – Cinema / Liz Phair’s Girly Sound to Guyville).
    3. Most exciting forthcoming 2018 release (new or archival)?
Prince (Piano & Mic) or Bowie (Blackout).

1 "Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino" by Arctic Monkeys (Probably not the coolest name to drop and there have been so many great new albums so far but I really love this album.)

    2. Swans "Die Tür Ist Zu" finally on vinyl. Supposedly an EP. 60 minutes:biglaugh:"Soundtracks For The Blind" coming in July and that gap in the Swans vinyl collection will be closed for the first time in 20 years:goodie:

    1. Either Movida by Alfa9 or Songs From Somewhere Else by The Hanging Stars, wouldn't like to choose between them but if pushed I think Alfa9 just about edges it.
    2. Vintage Years 1979-1991 by Wishbone Ash, the way to do a box set properly.
    3. As I Fell by Curse of Lono, their last album was superb, can't wait for the new one.
