Ya know, I am still kicking myself for getting rid of my copy of that one...as far as I'm concerned the 30th Anniversary version is still the best CD version (best packaging for sure!). But my girlfriend at the time got it for me Christmas of '98, I got rid of it after we split in '02. D'oh!
Too bad they never released "Across The Universe" as a single. I know it's on "Let It Be" but let's be serious. That song sounds like it came straight from the White album doesn't it? There is a nice video on YouTube which is using the footage of the Beatles in India. Very nice thing. Should have been done professionally with the original footage in restored HD quality like videos in the 1+ box set.
But then again, these things can and do change from time to time. I think we will have a better gauge as we get closer
09.09 release would actually best fit the White Album. A white screen teaser on Facebook with the lines number 9, number 9
Release date is gonna be November 16th or something along those lines. I have no proof but just by looking at the calendar, that makes the most sense
this would be a treat just celebrating this great album Giles free... ...original in all it's glory...
Just last week I stumbled across an original, numbered, stereo-mixed Canuck-pressed White Album: The Beatles - The Beatles Sounds so holographic it's almost spooky. And the vinyl is dead-silent. I'm guessing it was played once or twice. Unreal SQ...
The White album for a newbie? It's a great album, but I think a newbie needs to work up to it. I think Beatles For Sale (not sure why you singled that one out) would be a better start. BTW, I'm one of the people that love Beatles For Sale.
