Just the box. It probably won't be on the 9th, expecting it a little later, given what's happened with past orders. I'm fine with that. I'm also getting the Kinks box which will be out later this month and that will keep me busy.
I was going to get that, then thought ...get the 2LP + big cd box as the Esher Demos will be on it. But, imp perverse such as human nature pondering on it may as well just get the 4LP as well, just feels r i g h t!!!!!
Amazon Prime should get to me on the 9th, which I love. I could not wait a day more. That Kinks set looks really good. So tempted.
Just a heads up for Lennon/Imagine fans. Nice big book. Not for me, unless price comes down but really well put together.
My memory of buying it, was getting my dad to give me a ride (35 miles) to pick up the Album on its release date. The biggest thing I knew I was getting was a brand new double album Beatles album. I don't think song titles were any kind of a draw. Knowing it was 2LPs worth was all I needed to know.
4lp for sure, the box possibly (I don't have a CD player hooked up to my stereo, and I primarily use Apple Music for my digital listening...I'm a turntable guy, what can I say) depending on how much I like the book.
I am defiantly looking forward to the Esher demos but kinda getting nervous on the remix. I got the John Lennon Imagine 2018 remix LP today and at first liked it because of Lennon's voice but after an extended listen it's real odd, don't care for it. Of course I know Giles and Sam didn't do it but I still have my fingers crossed for this remix.
The big box, 4 LP and 3CD as a gift for someone else. I'm still hopeful there will be some future limited release, like white vinyl or Esher Demos by itself.
Why would you download from iTunes when you have the source discs? I don't see why people do that, I am not being confrontational, just interested.
I have never seen that before and I used to live in record shops, I'm thinking that it's not from 1968 but I could be wrong
