...been going back and filling in the collection. Recently picked up Wazoo, Little Dots, Imaginary Diseases, Road Tapes #2 and Roxy By Proxy. What took me so long??? These are all killer/no filler.

With that being said I still can't help but wonder what's upcoming from Zappa land. Just can't get enough....

  2. I just have to say Road Tapes Vol. 2 is freaking amazing!!!! Performance A++ and the recording quality is surprisingly good.

Okay ready to pull the trigger on a few of these! Thus far:

    Hammersmith Odeon [3 CD]
    Chicago '78 [2 CD]
    Philly '76 [2 CD]
    Buffalo [2 CD]

All seem promising. Amend, add or subtract this list for a pedestrian fan of the mid-70's era.
Please help a relative Zappa neophyte out to get a live in concert lasting fix. (Not really interested in studio stuff, tbh.)

Last week I got Roxy by Proxy, and that one did read Universal in the back, so I guess in this case it's a real reissue (and that would perhaps explain why the release date was delayed).

Anyone have the new Carnegie Hall release yet?
Curious about SQ and is it identical to the earlier issue?

Just got around to picking up Feeding The Monkies.
The problem is it's only got the first three tracks on the CD!? It reads fine but has three tracks only.
    Is this a known problem?

The vinyl has 3 tracks which is the album Zappa compiled, but the CD has 2 extra tracks.

Yeh, but my CD doesn't. It's only got the album tracks. It's not a knock-off, it's the one with lenticular insert and all and it's a genuine silver disc. I just checked discogs and there's no mention of a three track version. I wonder how many there are in the wild. I got it in a little shipment from the US along with 4 other Zappa releases I hadn't gotten yet. I'll have to get a five track one as wellnow. Bizaaaarrrrrrrrre.

    Very weird.
I've never heard of a 3 track version.

Card die-cut with a lenticular inside. The cover and booklet list all five tracks but the disc only has the first three. No pirate, it's definitely legit and I ripped the audio no problems so the disc is fine.

Just checked mine (ZR 20012) and it has 5 tracks.

    Matrix: ZR20012 ~~ 1W ~~ 01 ~~ V ~~ IFPI L244 ~~ zappa.com ZR20012

[~~ just used to indicate space between elements]

Where did you buy your copy? Maybe you need to take it up with them (unless you want to keep it as a collectible)?
