A whole generation of actors and actresses seem to have passed away, and I miss many of them, having viewed one or more movies over the decades. Let's post pictures of those stars of yesteryear:

Charles Bronson and James Coburn, in Hard times. And I liked them both in the Magnificent Seven.

And Bronson in Once Upon a Time in the West (I think he was waiting for Fonda to show up for a final showdown).

And James Coburn in The Magnificent Seven. You best not disturb him . . . he's a helluva a knife thrower . . . when provoked.

This guy right here (James Stewart). I got to meet him at a press conference down in Tampa in the '90s at an anniversary of the filming of one of his movies at McDill AFB (Strategic Air Command, I believe). Truly one of the best "brushes with greatness" moments in my life. He was such a genuinely, sincerely nice man.

I'm with you. Most of the pictures of of people who lived a long life and had large bodies of work. PSH has a good sized body of work, but think of all the parts we never got to see him play. What a loss.

I would add the great character actor, Allan (Sam the Butcher) Melvin to that list.

I would have liked to see what Brandon Lee could have done had he not died during the filming of "The Crow". He had more range than your average action star. I miss him I guess.

Patrick Swayze was not a great actor but my wife liked him and I didn't mind seeing most of his movies with her.
