You might want to add "title" to the subject line of this thread. Unless she's actually planning to tweet each song 140 characters at a time.

She's teasing the album's release on Twitter. I don't think my thread title is so hard to understand. :)

The title of this thread is slightly hyperbolic. :) I thought she talked about the content of the album, the songs, the lyrics, the release date, etc., but all she actually wrote was:
"Bye bye 25... See you again later in the year x".
But that's what you get when a thread is started with web article about a tweet as the subject.

I said it was a tease. I didn't say it was a particularly informative tease. :)

Yeah, I think so too- in so far as it puts the album on my radar and lets me know it will be released later this year. Good enough for me (so far!). :)

    Thanks @PaulKTF!

I wish her all the best. It seems a lot of folks on this forum view her as a flash in the pan, but I see TALENT there and certainly hope she keeps on delivering for many years...

There were rumours of a surprise release around x-mas/new year.

I'm curious to see what kind of reception her new album gets from the general public.

Her previous stuff was so overplayed-- and her voice is so distinct--
there may be potential for another Hootie & The Blowfish type of situation.

Her first two albums were excellent, so I'll definitely be picking up her third... whenever it ends up being released. :)

Assuming she does something true to herself and 'artistic' (instead of trying to chase a pop radio hit intentionally), I doubt she'll reach the heights of her last record commercially, but I think she's distinctive and talented enough to retain a large following for many years, even without another crossover single like "Rolling in the Deep." The problem with Hootie (and, while we're at it, Norah Jones) was that they had one record that for some reason was the right LP at just the right moment, but weren't distinctive enough to keep that audience on subsequent LP's (although Norah eventually blossomed into a great songwriter, even if fewer were around to hear it).

I'm looking forward to her new LP, whenever it actually happens.

Personally, I'm holding off for "95- The Nursing Home Sessions".

As insignificant as it is I hope she keeps here naming scheme for albums throughout her career. Right now I'm looking forward to 37 and 63.

Chicago's album titles must really annoy the hell out of you, then, huh? ;)

Well in Chicago's case it's not just the album titles that annoy me, the only Chicago i own is ''Greatest Hits'' and ''Chicago Transit Authority''.

Adele should've named every album "Peter Gabriel".

Or better yet-- The Flaming Lips should have named all the albums in their extensive catalog "Peter Gabriel". Now THAT would've been both fun and confusing.

Get Hot Streets. The title won't bother you, but the music may.
