Has anyone here heard this SACD yet? I was unaware that it had been released but Rounder put it out on August 26th. Curious as to how recordings like this would come across in a hi-res format.

I've recently read an excellent review of this disc, and put it on my want list as a result. Unfortunately, I don't remember the source of the compliments, but from what i can see it doesn't look like an American Music fan could go wrong... Hopefully there are additional volumes.

Aren't these recordings like ancient? How much better can SACD make them sound?

Good point, but nice to see them released......are he and his dad in that crappy R and R Hall of Fame? They should be!

Info is scanty about this one. Amazon seems to have it (vary the spelling of "song book/ songbook" to bring it up). Oddly, Rounder's site says this one, like the other one, is DSD-mastered but doesn't mention SACD!
