Albums You Love But Most People Dislike

Satanic is controversial. It has a lot of detractors but a number of enthusiastic fans as well.

 

I always thought it was the poor brother of the mid seventies albums and disdained for David's crude guitar (which I love).

After reading RYM apparently, Illegal Stills is among those, pretty hash reveiws I think it's a great album, maybe not manassas level but still good and one I grew up hearing from mom and dad's collection. I also love Andrew W.K., The Promise Ring and a lot of other cheesy 90s/2000s emo.

I truthfully love and enjoy ELP's Love Beach.

 

I really enjoyed the 2017 re-release.

 

I love the last two tracks, but the rest just doesn't do it for me. Though I guess I'd say the album is good since the two tracks I enjoy are half of the album.

 

Yeah, "Memoirs" is a beautiful suite, can't understand why it doesn't get the love. "The Gambler" and "Taste of My Love" are the only two songs I think are idiotic, the rest of it's all killer. Title track is classic jangle-pop.

 

I love all of these! Been working my way through Jandek's live albums here recently. Bummed the Ft Worth show neve got released, I was at it and thought it was incredible.

 

Of ranking truly terrible music? Wrong thread, isn't it?
